The project comprises of twin two-lane tunnels, approximately 4.6km in length, which will run between tunnel portals located in Toowong (western end) and Kelvin Grove (eastern end).
Transcity the JV Contractor has been selected to design, build and operate Legacy Way. Construction on the project is expected to take four years and be completed in late 2014.
Transcity is an integrated team comprising BMD Constructions, Italian company Ghella and Spanish construction company Acciona. This team will be supported by a number of locally based specialist companies such as Kenny construction to provide the skills and knowledge required to deliver Legacy Way such as detailed FRP works.
