MEET THE TEAM
Finnian is a relationship-driven leader. He has been successfully collaborating with Kenny Constructions' clients, industry leaders and team members since 1994, when he first launched the company. He has worked in the construction industry his entire career, including in hands-on, site-based roles in his early years. He has gained both a practical and technical understanding of every aspect of the Australian construction sector.
What he loves about his job: "It's a privilege to have a great team of people behind me that have helped grow the Kenny Constructions' business. Their safety has always been my number one priority and will continue to be so. I am so proud of the concrete packages we are delivering across significant civil, commercial and residential projects today. These projects are helping to make Australia an even better place to live and work. I am excited to see what the future holds in our industry."
Stephen began his journey at Kenny Constructions as Construction Manager in 2009, having previously held the position of Managing Director at a large residential and commercial construction company. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer at Kenny Constructions in 2014.
What he loves about his job: "I embrace the daily challenges involved in the complex concrete structures the Kenny Constructions' team delivers. I always aim to take a practical and forward-thinking approach to developing safe and efficient methods of construction. One of my favourite parts of the job is maintaining long-standing relationships with clients and establishing new client relationships."
Bernie started her career in Banking and Finance and also worked in Insurance and Human Resources. She has been with Kenny Constructions since it was established in 1994. She is responsible for the Management of the Finance and Administration areas of the business.
What she loves about her job: "I find the challenges of running a family business rewarding and enjoy the daily interaction with colleagues and team members. I have great pride in the fact that Kenny Constructions has had such a big impact on Australian infrastructure over many years and continues to be an integral part of future growth."
Robert understands the unique challenges of planning and delivering complex projects in a diverse range of environments. In his 10+ years of Civil Construction Engineering experience, Robert has implemented a range of project delivery mechanisms that have ensured the successful delivery of numerous, high-profile projects.
What he loves about his job: "I have a genuine passion for my work. I always invest in hiring the right people and believe we all play a role in the continued growth of the Kenny Constructions' business. The construction sector is full of opportunities and I'm excited about our current and pipeline projects."
Sean plays an integral role in the management of Kenny Constructions' safety and system compliance. He is responsible for the team's ISO Accredited Internal Management System. Sean has over eight years' experience in health and safety across various sectors including large-scale civil infrastructure projects, commercial and industrial projects.
What he loves about his job: "Keeping people safe is a fundamental responsibility for businesses operating in the construction industry. Building a proactive and positive safety culture within Kenny Constructions is what I strive for. Our sole purpose is to send people home safely."
Neil is a qualified Carpenter, Site Supervisor and Foreman with 15+ years' experience in the construction industry. He is safety-focused, experienced in client relations and has the ability to develop solutions to any challenges that may arise on-site..
What he loves about his job: "Ultimately, I'm a people person, so I enjoy the day-to-day interaction with clients and team members. I have a can-do approach and that sets me in good stead to make a positive contribution to every project I work on."
Tender Manager / Contracts Administrator
Johnny has delivered large-scale projects during his 10+ years in the construction industry.
He manages the tendering process for Kenny Constructions, assists with future project estimates, administers established contracts and monitors all payment claims.
What he loves about his job: "Every day is diverse. The construction industry is one of the fastest growing industries in Australia and is expected to increase its share in overall GDP."
Fergus Mc Hugh
Fergus has 10+ years' experience in the construction industry, having started his career in Ireland before relocating to Australia where he worked in various states across different facets of the industry including Earthworks, Roads, Subdivisions, through to Commercial construction. Fergus is involved day-to-day in all elements of Project Delivery, from Planning and Procurement to reviewing workplace environments in relation to Health, Safety & the Environment.
What he loves about his job: "It's challenging and rewarding to see jobs come to fruition, from paper to real life. I enjoy being part of delivering projects that will make people's daily lives that little bit easier, especially with improved road and public transport infrastructure."
Plant & Equipment Manager
Danny has been with Kenny Constructions for 17 years and in the construction industry for 35 years. He is responsible for all on-site plant, machinery and assets management. Danny has worked on many large-scale, complex projects and has an in-depth knowledge of project needs across the construction industry.
What he loves about his job: "The challenge of starting new projects and working with a diverse community. I also respect the approach to safety in the construction industry in Australia that has evolved over the years."
Colm has a strong track-record in Retail Customer Management, Marketing and Performance Management. Day-to-day he ensures competitive company procurement and the management and maintenance of all existing assets and plant onboarding.
What he loves about his job: "Being part of the company's growth and the implementation of new procedures, management styles and innovative engineering practices. The evolution of how we work in the construction industry is constant; finding safer, more efficient ways to work day-to-day is what excites me the most."
Syed Minhaj Karim
Syed is an experienced Accountant, with nearly two decades of experience in the retail, manufacturing, oil and gas construction sectors. He is skilled in Trend Analysis, Business Planning, Strategic Management, Cash Flow Forecasting, P&L Analysis and Payroll. Syed continuously monitors the costs for Kenny Constructions' projects and produces analytical reports..
What he loves about his job: "Every day is different, with new challenges and new learnings. The Government is changing the whole infrastructure of Australia, especially in Sydney, so there is more growth in the Construction sector in the future."
