Schofields Road is currently being upgraded to become a major east-west connection between Windsor Road and Richmond Road. Once this $340 million upgrade and extension is complete it will link the Rouse Hill and Marsden Park town centres and help to better meet the future transport needs of the North West Priority Land Release Area.
Schofields Road is currently a two-lane, rural road linking Windsor Road at Rouse Hill to Railway Terrace at Schofields. It forms a T-junction with Railway Terrace at its western end. When the upgrade is completed, Schofields Road will cross the Blacktown-Richmond rail line via an underpass and continue via South Street to link up to Richmond Road at Marsden Park.
This project will provide a direct local link between Windsor Road and Richmond Road and also an east-west connection between the Rouse Hill Regional Centre, the proposed Sydney Metro Northwest, the proposed new Schofields town centre, Schofields Railway Station and the proposed Marsden Park industrial, commercial and residential areas
