Scope of Works

Kenny Constructions was engaged to deliver the permanent lining works for the new Hunter Street Station, including construction of a new pedestrian access tunnel between Hunter Street and Martin Place (Blight Street Adit), along with associated shaft enabling works.The permanent lining works comprised large invert pours, sidewall and crown pours, as well as nozzle walls and headwalls.The scope included the placement of approximately 80,000 m³ of concrete and the installation of over 10,000 tonnes of reinforcement.

Due to the bridges location adjacent to a live traffic corridor, detailed staging and planning were essential. The works were delivered through multiple traffic shutdowns and weekend work periods
