Paramatta Light Rail

Kenny Constructions was engaged to deliver the project’s largest structures package, including three major bridges, alignment retaining walls and track slab works. Key structures included Adderton Road Overbridge, James Ruse Drive Underbridge and Kissing Point Road Underbridge.

James Ruse Drive Underbridge comprised a 7-span bridge built over a live arterial road with complex in-situ elements, FRP works and the installation of a large steel arch bridge launched into position during night-shift shutdowns. Kenny Constructions also delivered extensive precast and in- situ components across a highly sequenced program.

All structures were completed ahead of program, supported by Kenny Constructions use of innovative prefabrication techniques and a curved deck formwork methodology to accelerate bridge construction. James Ruse Drive Underbridge has become a recognisable feature of the network and a showcase of Kenny Constructions capability in complex bridge delivery.
