Scope of Works

Kenny Constructions were engaged to undertake a diverse range of structural concreting works across multiple bridge structures within the Sydney Gateway project. The scope included temporary formwork, reinforcement installation, concrete placement and finishing works associated with pile caps, column extensions, abutments, piers, bridge decks, approach slabs, drainage infrastructure, mortar pads, and girder installation on bridges SB12, SB41, SB42, SB43 and SB44.


Overview

Sydney Gateway is a major infrastructure project providing a critical connection between the St Peters Interchange and Sydney Airport, improving accessibility and traffic flow across one of Sydney’s busiest transport corridors. Kenny Constructions played a key role in the delivery of several structural bridge components throughout the project


Outcome

Kenny Constructions successfully delivered the required structural concreting works to a high standard, contributing to the completion of a significant piece of transport infrastructure for Sydney. The project stands as a reflection of the team’s capability in delivering complex bridge and civil infrastructure works, with a finished product the company looks back on with pride.

President Avenue Pedestrian Bridge , M6 Stage 1
Due to the bridges location adjacent to a live traffic corridor, detailed staging and planning were essential. The works were delivered through multiple traffic shutdowns and weekend work periods
