Scope of Works

Kenny Constructions delivered the full concrete package for the MOC3 facility, including formwork design and installation, reinforcement placement and all in-situ concrete works. The scope also covered installation of large precast elements such as coffin beams, 12 m square columns, double walls and stair cores.

Overview

Works included major structural elements for the substation, exhaust and supply shafts, along with extensive retaining wall construction. Hundreds of precast units were installed across a complex, heavily sequenced footprint where program efficiency was critical.

Outcome

Kenny Constructions worked closely with the client to plan construction methodologies that reduced risk and improved productivity. The 65m deep exhaust and supply shafts were delivered using an innovative precast and topping method, removing the need for heavy strutting and saving significant time and cost.
