Scope of Works

Kenny Constructions delivered the FRP tunnel lining works for the St Marys Stub Tunnels. The package included FRP lining of two 100m long stub tunnels for future expansion of the Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport line. The team overcame significant program constraints to deliver the project on time for handover to Sydney Metro. Some of the strategies employed to optimise the program included pre-assembly of the tunnel forms off-site concurrently during tunnel excavation, bespoke formwork anchor detail to complete headwall as single pour rather than multiple pours and revised reinforcement detail to allow for quicker installation.
